Camp Metigoshe

Metigoshe Ministries is a year round ELCA ministry which operates a summer camp near Bottineau, ND. Each year we seek to hire around 50 summer staff members who are college aged. While we are an ELCA organization, we are very open to having staff members from other theological backgrounds who want to join in our mission and ministry. We are currently recruiting summer staff members who would like to serve as camp counselors, support staff members, or programmatic members (our leadership staff).

A small bit of background on Metigoshe is that we were started back in 1961 and have been doing ministry in the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota ever sense. Each year we serve around 2,000 campers through our residential and day camp programming. Summer staff members will have the opportunity to work with both programs and will work with a large variety of campers of all ages and abilities. Every week at Metigoshe is different and exciting. The main age group we serve is from 2nd grade to entering their freshman year of college, but also have programming for adults with developmental or physical disabilities, family camp, and grandparents camp. Some details about our hiring process. We seek to hire about 12-15 male counselors in addition to the 15-20 female counselors and 12-15 leadership staff (Typically staff members who have served 2 or more summers on staff). A first year staff member is provided with a ministry stipend of $2950 for the 12 weeks and is given room and board for the summer. We also give a $500 bonus for working the entire summer. We start May 24 and go until August 15 this summer.
