Camping with Christ... for lives of faith... This is the mission that Camp of the Cross stands behind. Camp of the Cross Ministries is a year-round camp and retreat center where you can be yourself, feel like part of the family, and connect with God in Christ Jesus. We serve kids 6-18, adults, and families for overnight camps and retreats.

Camp Counselors are designed to provide a fun and safe experience for all campers. They are the primary caregivers during a camper’s time at camp and will stay overnight in a cabin with their campers. This means that counselors must be in tune with the needs of their campers as well as the happenings and general surroundings of camp. From the beginning of the week, right to the very end, counselors are amid the programming action at camp! This position is a great fit for those who enjoy working with all ages, are up for new challenges, want to grow in their faith, love inspiring joy in those around them, are organized and alert, and care deeply for the needs of others. If you are not interested in being a camp counselor, we also have positions available with our kitchen and maintenance staff!

We are affiliated with the ELCA, LCMC, and UCC churches. Summer Staff housing is provided and required. Expected summer stipend is about $250 per week, but the exact amount is TBD.
